EarthShare of Georgia connects people with opportunities to contribute to and volunteer with leading non-profit organizations dedicated to conserving and protecting our air, land and water.
With your support, we have had another year of success as we close our fiscal year on June 30, 2014.
In 2013, we celebrated 20 years of caring for the environment, having raised 5 million dollars to help support our outstanding member groups since 1995. In the past year, we have built several new business partnerships with companies such as Mohawk, Aflac and Interface. We also started new workplace-giving campaigns with Burr-Forman and Hyundai Information Services, organized three engaging Earth Day business events, welcomed new board members and strengthened member group relationships throughout the state. While we continue to be successful in many ways, this year has been challenging with staff transitions and, most importantly, with the recent tragic loss of our Board Chair and colleague, Tami Willadsen, who was the Director of Philanthropy with The Nature Conservancy in Georgia. She will be greatly missed by the environmental community and beyond.
Please consider a gift to EarthShare of Georgia to support our efforts to grow campaign participation and our ability to better support our member groups, all leading non-profit environmental charities. Again, your volunteer hours, contacts and ideas are greatly valued; so is your financial gift to EarthShare of Georgia. Please know how much you are appreciated and that we look forward to celebrating with you each step toward continued success.
With summer just around the corner, this is a great time to think about getting your place of business involved with an EarthShare of Georgia workplace–giving campaign!
Workplace-giving is the vehicle for individuals to connect to charities in a tactile way and for employers to empower their employees to change the world. For many, it is also an introduction to the charitable sector and the concept of philanthropy and community service, offering a convenient path to learn and connect. EarthShare of Georgia workplace-giving programs are built on connecting environmental and conservation charities with donors who recognize the importance of caring for our natural resources, offering philanthropic and hands-on opportunities and educating workers about issues that impact the health of our air, land, water and wildlife.
