This year’s breakfast highlighted the topic of LAND conservation. Keynote speaker Ryan Gravel, Beltline visionary, urban planner and author, spoke about his recently published book, Where We Want to Live, explaining that “the Belline is more than infrastructure it’s foundation for new way of life.” New to the program this year, EarthShare of Georgia invited environmental leaders to facilitate discussions at each breakfast table on subthemes of land conservation regarding farms (including food, health and well-being), forests (including trees, parks and greenspace) and function( including sustainable buildings, energy conservation and waste reduction) Guests were invited to make personal environmental commitments, which they each wrote on a paper leaf to add to a Commitment Tree which will continue online as a project to help find community solutions to  land conservation issues. Tiny House Atlanta was onsite with a tiny house open for tours, offering an alternative to sustainable living.
