EarthShare of Georgia is a nonprofit that raises funds through employee giving for more than 60 environmental member organizations dedicated to conserving and protecting our air, land and water. In April of 2014 we will celebrate Earth Day with three key events designed to connect business leaders with the groups we help support year-round and the environmental community at large.

The Corporate Green Day Challenge was held Saturday, April 5, 2014 and provided volunteer opportunities for employees of Earth Day event sponsors at specially selected environmental improvement project sites across Metro Atlanta and beyond.

The Earth Day Leadership Breakfast was held Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at the Georgia Aquarium. This Earth Day event brought together business and environmental leaders to focus on ways to improve our environment and highlight the work of our member groups in caring for our air, land and water.  The 2014 Leadership Breakfast Speaker was  Dr. J. Marshall Shepherd, a leading international expert in the area of weather, climate, and atmospheric related sciences.  His keynote address focused on water issues and the correlations to climate change,  while offering ideas on sustainable ways individuals and businesses can help conserve Georgia’s environment.

The Earth Day Party was held Thursday, April 24, 2014. It is a celebration that includes food, music, and an Eco-silent auction that was held at the Defoor Centre. Nestled in Westside Midtown, this unique event space bridges the gap between past and present with its rich history and upscale industrial vibe. Valet parking is available for $5.
