Corporate Green Day Challenge

The 2014 Corporate Green Day Challenge will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 9:00am-12:00pm at various locations throughout metro Atlanta. The Corporate Green Day Challenge offers an opportunity for your employees to experience first-hand the work of EarthShare of Georgia’s environmental member organizations and area parks that “do green” every day in caring for our air, land and water.

Nearly 500 employees from 16 company sponsors participated in the 2013 Corporate Green Day Challenge, dedicating a Saturday morning to cleaning up parks and stream banks, planting gardens and mulching trees throughout Atlanta at 13 area locations.

The 2013 Corporate Green Day Challenge award went to Bank of America. Bank of America had a team of 92 employees that planted over 180 plants, completed mulching 25 acres of trails, removed invasive plants, transplanted 75 plants and built a garden area of native plants along the trail. The volunteers were very well-organized with a sub-team caption specialized in the work project, effectively used a variety of tools, and worked well together with Friends of Kittredge Park.
