Leadership Breakfast

 

The Tenth Annual Earth Day 2012 Leadership Breakfast was presented by Kaiser Permanente on Friday, April 20, 2012, from 8:00-10:00 am, at the Georgia World Congress Center. The keynote speaker was A. Stanley Meiburg (Stan), Deputy Regional Administrator for U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 4 in Atlanta, Georgia. His keynote address entitled, "AIR - It All Adds Up: Air Quality and Your Health," highlighted accomplishments made by EPA in improving air quality standards and the benefits of partnerships to conserve and protect our environment.  Remarks by keynote speaker Stan Meiburg.

EarthShare of Georgia presented Tomorrow Pictures with the 2012 Outstanding Community Partner award for their generous donation of media services to EarthShare of Georgia, Accenture with the 2012 Campaign Champion Award for their outstanding employee-giving campaign for EarthShare of Georgia and the entire EarthShare nationwide network, Lewis Perkins with the 2012 Outstanding Volunteer award for his contribution of time and services in communications and as the Earth Day Party co-chair in 2011 and 2012, Southface with the 2012 Outstanding Member Group of the Year award for exceeding their annual member requirements, providing assistance in communications, meeting space and for their leadership in promoting energy conservation and air quality benefits of green buildings, as an EarthShare of Georgia member group.

The 2012 Corporate Green Day Challenge award was given to Accenture and Turner Broadcasting System, Inc who worked together with the Atlanta Audubon Society, an EarthShare of Georgia member group, at Constitution Lakes in DeKalb County.
