10th Annual Back to the Chattahoochee River Race & Festival
Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper
SAVE THE DATE: Saturday, June 9, 2012
Paddlers of all ages and skill levels are invited to our 10th Annual Back to the Chattahoochee River Race and Festival organized by UCR in partnership with the National Park Service, Fulton County, and city of Roswell. The race course begins at Garrard Landing Park on Holcomb Bridge Road and ends at Riverside Park in Roswell — site of the FREE festival for the whole family!
The festival includes rain barrel painting for kids (and a raffle of the final products), fly-casting demonstrations, environmental booths, and great live music — along with food and beverages.
As a special treat, paddlers only will be greeted at the end of the course by the SweetWater Beer Barge (UCR’s pontoon boat). Paddlers can enjoy sodas, water or a SweetWater brew (for patrons 21 and over carrying a valid ID) before going ashore. So mark your calendar for next year's 10th annual celebration of going back our river: June 9, 2012!
