One Earth One Day For Georgia

Green Day

April 17, 2004

On April 22, 1970, the National Education Association estimated nearly 10 million public school children with their teachers took their classroom to the woods to study the effects of pollution on nature.

On April 17, 2004 over 1000 Green Day volunteers, led by experienced conservationists and teachers, helped repair streams beds, restore urban nature paths, and replenish Atlanta’s tree canopy.
